Use and Maintenance
KRENDL equipment
Proper use and regular maintenance will extend the life of your Krendl equipment (carding and blowing machines and thermal vacuum cleaners). Krendl France provides users of this equipment with free maintenance guides.
In general, here are the key factors to ensure proper use and maintenance of your Krendl equipment:
– The good condition of the carding tube, which is entirely responsible for carding the insulating fiber:
1) Minimum length of 45 meters for effective carding under all humidity conditions.
2) Tube with internal ridges and a pronounced internal texture for optimal carding.
3) Diameter that allows the fiber to expand without being restricted by the internal volume.
4) High fiber velocity within the tube (blower power).
Note: KRENDL FRANCE has developed a double- or triple-acceleration pipe for optimal carding.
– The rubber blades, which ensure a tight seal and thus maintain proper pressure in the hose, should be in good condition. If the machine is blowing a lot of dust out of the hopper and your fuel consumption is increasing, this is a sign that the blades need to be replaced.
– Cleaning and blowing out the interior, as well as the air filter, are essential to prevent damage to or failure of the motors.
– Lubrication and monthly checking of chain tension.
– Generators: two aspects are essential for the optimal operation of Krendl machines powered by a generator: a minimum power of 7500W in single-phase and the “AVR” or voltage regulation system.
